Happy 4th - 2009

The kids and I went to Hermosa for the 4th of July - I hesitate to call this a tradition but it is one in the making, we went last year as well. The kids love to run wild at the park and at the beach. I think the 4th is becoming one of my favorite holidays, I love having the extra time to spend with the kiddos and with my family. Niki's mom is such a sweet host and it is so patient with my kids that cannot resist some of her personal items at her house ;) I just remind myself they will get better.

My little sparkler

my little firecracker before we left

It is very hard to get pictures of Brooklyn - she physically can't stay still ;)

Ready to slide

Say HI

Someone left this ride toy at the park, Brooklyn didn't mind!

Me with all of the kids - love them!

Brooklyn watching fireworks - she was just as excited to stand on the air conditioner and window sill

Hi cutie - Jace tried to stay up for the show but fell asleep

Good morning loves! This bed slept all 9 of us - Brooklyn's babies HAD to sleep with us. It was not the most restful night of sleep with all of them!

Jace - ready to party - little guy is so funny, he tries to jump on the bed but can't jump and looks so hilarious trying. Bless his cute heart!

All dressed for the beach - just watching a little Oso before we go!

The beach was fun but I could not get too many pictures because I was chasing the kids around the whole time. My kids have NO interest in playing in the sand, oh no, they are all about playing in the water. Maybe soon they will build sand castles!
Little steps

Mommy is this okay? - We picked up each cone that surrounded the lifeguard station, good times!

This was a fun trip. Some of my favorite parts:
1. Brooklyn waking up when we got to Suzy's and saying "Adelle"
2. Watching the kids run wild at the park and feeling the ocean breeze while watching them.
3. The way my kids screamed when we got to the hotel and the look in Brooklyn's eye that said "let's trash this place" - they managed to run, touch, jump on everything in the room in the first 15 mins, it was pretty hilarious.
4. Adelle and Brooklyn eating snacks after the park and hearing Adelle say "This is great Auntie" about her snack - in her cute voice. Way too cute!
Hope you all had a great 4th!

Hey Heather,
This is Karen, I worked with David at ESRI last year. Which park did you take the kids to? I'd love to take my son (21 months) and am not familiar with Hermosa Beach yet.
Thanks!
