Repair man fired....Mommy Hired

We had our Repair Man over to fix Brooklyn's tricycle, the handle bars kept falling off of her tricycle. She had been off the riding circuit for a few days and she was very unhappy.

The next day....."Mom, it's broken" - she is smiling in this picture but she was very unhappy and rather than listen to her and Jace fight over his bike...

I got her a new one and put it together for her. She thinks the new bike is "pretty cool" because it matches her brother but it is definitely not as cool as the Little Mermaid one she wanted.

Happy New Year - 2011

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! The three of us are more than excited for this new year. With a new year comes new memories and experiences and we are ready for them! Our first new experience started on New Year's Eve by sledding in the hills at Mtn High. What a fabulous day, the weather was beautiful (20 degrees but PERFECT)! The day was filled with great friends, sledding, minimal traffic, cold fingers, laughs, smiles and a stolen sled! Definitely one for the memory book!

We wish you a very Happy New Year and hope your year is filled with plenty of love, fun, happiness and great health! Much love blog followers!

Brooklyn's Christmas Recital - 2010

Brooklyn in her Dove costume, I did not know anything about her costume but the ivory dress I put her in looked perfect with her costume. yay for Mom!

Brooklyn's big debut occured on December 22nd when she had first ever preschool Christmas recital. She was so cute, all of the kids were so cute my heart actually ached watching them. Yes, I did cry when I saw my beautiful baby walk out. I was so nervous for her. Considering she has only been in preschool for a month prior and that month was filled with anxiety and insecurity, Brooklyn took the stage like a champ (of course). I have learned a few things about myself since becoming a mom, one of them is I have no shame when it comes to getting a picture or video...therefore, I was squatting in the center aisle for a majority of the Christmas program so I could see my baby girl and get the footage I needed. Please keep this in mind when you see this footage, it is definitely done by an amateur mom squatting in heels in her Sunday best :)

Video 1: Brooklyn on stage, she sees me in the crowd and promptly attempts to escape the stage unsuccessfully :)

Video 2: "Happy Birthday Jesus" - I think it is so cute, you can barely understand these little angels, they are off-key. Love it!

Video 3: "Oh no, Mommy's gone" - After the first half the kids had to walk off the stage and down the aisle to return to their classroom for a costume change, so I had to move from the aisle back to my seat, Brooklyn got very upset because she couldn't see me so she had a mini-meltdown walking down the aisle.

Video 4: Scene 2 - the kids walk back on stage, Brooklyn sees me sitting in the aisle and tries to sit with me. As much as I know she wanted to kick it with her fans, I am proud to report she put her professional shoes on and made her cute way back to the stage to finish her number. Perfection.

Video 5: How to entertain baby brother before the show starts. We pulled this lollipop card a little to soon, lesson learned.
