Little Cheerleaders

Do you think they have any clue what they are cheering for? Does it matter? No, as long as they are having fun that is all that matters :)

We've got the GOLD!

What a big girl Brooklyn!! We are finally on our path to being pottytrained, we have a had a few setbacks (a UTI and bladder infection coupled with a stay in the hospital will do that to you). This is first of many obstacles this little princess will overcome. She is still not quite sure that this is what she wants to do but there is no turning back now. I think she is doing a great job and before we know it Diapers will be "so last week" - I know it. Jace is such a supportive brother, right after this picture he showed Brooklyn how proud he was by promptly sticking his hand in her pot of gold...GROSS!!

Knock your block off!

Teamwork! They each took one turn at a time to build their world famous "Martinez Block Tower" - they were so proud of it that they created it OVER and OVER and OVER for hours! It was so sweet to watch them take turns and cheer each other on! I think it is a masterpiece! Good job kiddos!

Because we are cooler than you :)

Thank you Uncle Eric for the cool shades!

Happy Birthday Papa

Happy Birthday Papa! The kids LOVE to watch this video of all of us singing Happy Birthday to Papa!

First Baseball Game - Go Storm!

The Martinez cuties first diamond experience :) Well, if you want to be really technical they have been to a youth league baseball game but this was their first experience with the Big Boys :) We went to the Lake Elsinore Storm game with the Martinez cousins to celebrate Addysin's 7th birthday. It was a lot of fun, the first 20 minutes were a little hard for Jace and the last 20 minutes when we were waiting for the fireworks was also a little tough. Solution: We watched the fireworks right outside of the venue - the kids LOVED them, especially Jace.
Brooklyn standing in the aisle

Jace sitting in his seat (finally)

Brooklyn went back and forth from my seat to the big girls seats.

Kayden, Bailey and Brooklyn - not sure who Bailey is givin' the stink eye too!

Addysin with her little crew - she was Miss Popular, all of the girls wanted to sit next to her.

What could possibly be more fun and exciting than the baseball game you ask? A huge grass area with a giant hill to run up and down of course!

Jace at the bottom of the hill

Brooklyn crawling up the hill - no, I did not approve...grass stains are a nightmare!

Addysin and most of the kids lined up for a picture!

Yes, my kids were there....but they were too busy for photos!

A little birthday shout out - My beautiful niece Addysin turned 7 on August 6th.
I cannot believe you are 7 Addy! You have grown so much, but you are still the same little sweetheart. I remember all of your birthdays and have celebrated all 7 with you....I feel honored to be there! Happy Birthday sweet girl! We love you very much! XOXO, The Martinez Fam!

OC Fair 2010

We squeezed in a trip to the OC Fair this year, on a Wednesday night after work. Despite the gridlock traffic, it was totally worth it. The kids loved it. Brooklyn is a total die-hard carnival ride lover these days. Jace is still trying to get his feet wet, he made it on one actual ride and he cried after the first loop. But he loved the monster slide so much and just the freedom of walking around. They both loved the animal exhibit and sand exhibit.

The Aladdin ride getting started, it ended in tears :(
Brooklyn loved this ride and smiled the whole time, I think Jace would have liked it but I didn't want to scar him for life just in case he didn't so he had a sideline seat with Mommy.I love this smile, she is so stinkin' cute sometimes I can barely stand it!

Little Brother got a hug on the hay

Pools are always fun no matter what they are filled with!
Jace was really into the goats.
The fair even had Frosty the Snowman, so cool! Would've been a cute picture if I didn't catch Jace mid-yawn.
Double up, only packed the single stroller but we improvised!

Pretty Brooklyn

Brooklyn is growing up (when did that happen?). She is such a sweet and pretty little girl, maybe a little biased but I definitely think so. She is quite the character these days. I look at her and it is like looking in a mirror, not so much her physical appearance but more so her personality and mannerisms. Of course, I think this is a good thing.

Love this little girl so much and she makes me so proud!

WHOA....

It is so nice to hear Jace begin to express himself with words, his voice is so soft and cute, just as i would have expected. He loves this bin that I bought to put all of the balls in...but really the kids use it for many many other things. So much for getting organized.
