Water Balloons and Crabs - Father's Day 2009

Happy Father's Day Papa
Adelle at Joe's
Daddy's Baby Boy

Daddy's Little Princess
No picture of Daddy with his babies - he was a little camera shy :)

David, I and the kids played with water balloons in the backyard on Father's Day. The kids and I resisted the urge to attack him with water balloons :) Here are a few videos of the kids playing, as you can see Brooklyn had a very hard time with the balloons popping.

A few seconds later - watch Brooklyn behind the chair and Jace.

Basketball Prodigy?

I see this and think she is going to have a serious love for the game of basketball, true dedication - sleeping with the ball....

and then I see this and think maybe not.

Sayin' Bye Bye

Meeting Dora the Explorer

Some experiences you remember for a lifetime, if Brooklyn doesn't remember meeting her first celebrity I have the pictures to prove it.

Starstruck
You come here and get a hug

Okay, I will come give you a high five.
DORA DORA DORA - Brooklyn was very excited about meeting her, whenever she sees the pictures she says "Dora - which sounds like DOWA" - very sweet!

The Little Princess

Some new picturs of my baby girl and some current fun facts about Brooklyn:
Age - 2 years

Size - 35 3/4 inches and 33 pounds

New Accomplishments - hang on bars at the park, can almost pedal her tricycle, disciplining her little brother
1. Favorite words - "rose" - "balloon" - "plex"
2. Counting - favorite numbers are 6, 8 - she says them all the time

Likes - Mickey Mouse Clubhouse - loves Donald Duck, the park, playing outside, water, dancing, balloons, picking flowers, taking off her clothes and diaper (mommy doesn't like) and her little brother.

Dislikes - getting her hair combed, getting dressed, time out, being told no, sitting still...anything that has to do with limits or boundaries!

Brooklyn is a strong willed little girl, she keeps me on my toes every day and loves to test the rules. I think she really likes to see how serious I am when I say "NO" - but at the same time she is the most cuddly little snuggle bug and very loveable!

Roxy loves to cuddle
Corona?

YUM, spaghetti
These boots are great
Double Dora

Big Splash comin'

Cutie Pie

The Little Prince

Here are a few pictures of Jace Brendan and a few details about what he is up to:

Age - 15 months - adjusted age 13 months.
Size - 32 inches and 26.4 pounds

New accomplishments - says hi and bye, runs, walks backwards, throws and kicks balls, kisses mommy, climbs on the couch (with assistance from objects placed in front of couch).

Likes - Playing ball, knocking things over, throwing objects, being chased and chasing you, running in circles around someone sitting on the ground, snacks and eating, throwing everything out of his crib, and his big sister.

Dislikes - Not getting to go outside when he wants, getting his ears cleaned, washing his face, starting to get frusturated when having his diaper changed.

Jace is very mild mannered, mellow little guy. He is a typical little boy that loves to throw and kick things and destroy anything in his path and eat anything on his tray. He is such a sweetheart!!

Balloon and Wine Festival - Temecula

Or, BAWOOON festival, as Brooklyn would say. We woke up very early and made the short drive down the 15 to the Festival with Eric's family. Our experience was more balloon than wine, ahhh, the reality of having toddlers. It was actually very fun!

A few of the balloons - they launch and land VERY early.

Me with my loves - Jace looks like he is going to kick some.....
Jace meeting Elmo...he wasn't sure about it...
Elmo got a high five from Brooklyn
Bounce house baby - he is such a happy guy, that smile makes me wanna SQUEEZE him!

BIG SLIDE
Having kids is the best, I love taking Brooklyn on all of these slides, they are soooo fun! This one was crazy trying to climb all the way up with her and it went so fast. The first time we shot off at the bottom, it gave a few spectators a laugh

The petting zoo, Brooklyn was actually very gentle with all of the animals. I was so proud of her because I know how hard it is for her to restrain herself :) And, she correctly identified the duck, yay!

Cousins and friends - these little girls are the cutest - 6 months ago this would have never happened - so cute to see them grow!! typical girls, full of emotions and high pitched screams :)
My kids have the life!

Just what we needed....another ball. The kids played with these to pass the time until the kids fair opened.

Chick magnet - their shirts are so cute! We got them at the Hermosa Festival....Brooklyn's reads "One Cute Chick" and Jace's reads "Chick Magnet - love love love them!

My crazy little girl on the slide - she is hilarious! She really has no fear, I love that she will try anything. She was so in love with this slide - the guy that worked there let her play well past the designated time....thanks to him!

Our little cowgirls on their ponies. Brooklyn has come a long way - the last time she was screaming after the first lap, this time I actually walked outside of the gate and she rode alone. Adelle was totally into it too. Hopefully neither one of them puts a pony on their Xmas list!
